Dynamic Layers could be used as similar as dynamic frames can be used at the moment in path creation.... and maby even in combination.

Dynamic Layers:

1) Its a dynamic layer in which any choosen content of your map is displayed indipendently of your existing setup.

For example you chose some parts of Layer A and Layer B for your Dynamic Layer but in Vue you made Layer B invisible. In your presentation this doesnt concerns you because for the Dynamic Layer it doesnt matter whats visible at the moment.
(But changing content in your map should of course still change what contains this content in your dynamic layer !)

2) The dynamic layer allows you to rearange your choosen content without changing your original setup

So if some parts of your selection are on two distance points in your map you can rearange and bring them together

3) Also this could be combined with my IDC idea ..so you dont need to do the cleaning of any connectors ..instead you just say which region of your map is supposed to be part of your dynamic layer. However another kinde of slection mode would be nice for this. I think of a more llike guester methode. Saving the path of your mous while pressed and when you stop your motion everthing thats in this area is selected. But thats another idea. See here.

The integration could be done similar as its done with moving selections from on layer to another (this little downarrow in the layermenue). That means. First you create your DL in your Path menue so that it is stacked up. Than you select everything of interest on your map. To bring everything on your DL you click this button (like for normal layers) visible where your DL is stacked. Double click on the DL will bring you to edit modem where the DL can be changed.

Well thats it, share your mind!
