you can do this if you save the vue map as a 'vpk' in the save as dialog. this will package the map and resources together for emailing.

Thanks,

Mike or anyone--is there a limit to attached files per each VUE map? I'm up to 150mb on one VUE and I want to go 10x that or more. Of course, it now takes longer to unpack but I'm wondering if the TUfts VUEmasters (pardon the expression :) have in mind any upgrades that would make opening a large file easier. My students are having a good time with VUE and increasingly, I am having them store their stuff within VUE as it is so convenient from a learning and school management standpoint. Thanks so much.

Jeffrey,

The VPK is really just a zip file with the map and the resources in the zip. So it'd be held the same standards and expectations that a zip file would. If you get in a situation where VUE runs out of memory because of the size of the VPK you can always allocate more memory to VUE, but I wouldn't worry about that till you have the problem I guess.

Thanks,
Mike

If I may, a follow-up: sometimes I and my students will add a jpeg to our VUE and when we close it and reopen, the photo is gone. I thought that maybe dragging and dropping a picture from desktop to VUE wasn't good enough so, I and they are using the Content tab to add an image. The manual isn't helping us much. Any advice on what we're doing wrong? Many thanks.
