Here's a Concept Map which discusses the Coulomb Equation from a University introductory physics course I'm teaching. I put the equation and the central concept in the middle, with some enlarged fonts to draw the eye to them. Then the rest of the narrative is shaped around that central core. Eventually I will be putting in online resources, possibly including videocasts of my lectures where the concepts get mentioned. I've added a few small diagrams and pictures to try to maintain visual interest. The overall project is to produce one of these for every equation (or group of related equations) on the course formula sheet. All illustrations come from my own lecture slides, or from Wikimedia Commons.

best wishes

Hello Andrew,
Very nice map. Perhaps by now though, you have noticed that your text has an error where it explains the force being inversly proportional to the distance. Of course that should be the square of the distance.
Thanks and all the best to you,
Dennis
