I have been trying out the Text Object function more now that it does text wrapping and have noticed a few things:
1. the 'copy style' and 'apply style' functions don't work for text objects. 2. though notes and metadata can be added to text objects, their corresponding icons do not appear on the text object itself. 3. to highlight a text object (so that you can adjust its size) using the black mouse pointer you have to hold down the mouse button for a second. 4. can't use 'other' colors for text object text formatting. 5. sometimes the text in a text node is white. when I changed it to black the bullet points remained white. 6. copying and pasting a whole text object removes its bullet formatting. 7. the label pane of the info window for text nodes seems to have all of the html(?) code in it instead of just the title of the text object.
In general I'm curious why you can't just add all of the attributes available for text objects as options for nodes. It would be simpler to just have nodes but be able to do a whole range of things with them.
There are very few good Java text tools out there we could integrate in VUE. The one we found requires a lot of customization and has many limitations. We are hoping to extend the "text tool" functionality to the "node labels" in the future.
Thanks for the 7 points you listed above. I'll bring them back to the team and we'll try to address as many as we can.
