Hi. I would be great if I could link two nodes from different maps.

I can insert a VUE map into a node as a resource, but it does not let me pass a pathway through that connection.

Besides that I suggest:

1 - Maps, nodes and connections could be saved on database tables like

node_id|title|associated_resource_id|etc
and
connection_id|link_title|node_id|node_id|etc
and
map_id|map_title|etc
and
user_id|map_id|node_id|etc

In this way, sharing nodes, maps and resources could be made much easier. Even sharing nodes between maps could be made easier.

2 - If a map could be represented as a node:
- Open connections on a map could be created as default connections when it is added as a node. This could let a map be reusable as an object;
- The image of the inserted map could be used as an icon for the node;

3 - If special nodes could be made to perform operations, like two inputs and one output performing a sum, whole maps could be made as complex operators. The possibilities, in this case, are as wide as the set of functions that proteins can execute over living matter.
