Thank you for sending your comment. First, we would need a little more information in order to understand the issue better.

1. Which version of VUE are you using?
2. Mac or Windows?
3. What are the steps you did to add a map as a file?
4. Were those other maps also created with the same version of VUE?

Hello Melanie,
I am using 2.0 beta1b74.
I am running XP Prof sp2.
I right click a node and choose 'Add Image/File ...'
The file I choose is created with the same version of Vue. After choosing I see 'vue' as a resource icon on the node.
Double clicking the 'vue' icon produces a popup window with the message that I posted earlier.

I hope this helps to clarify things.

I also have this problem: has it been resolved? I successfully created linked maps on my laptop, and then wanted to move the maps to my desktop. I copied the .vue files, and can open them. The links don't work, of course, because the files are in a different place. I deleted the link, and then remade the link in the way that had worked before. If I click on the link, I get the same popup message as Werner.

Having decided that I might as well press on, I started again creating new maps, thinking that maybe somehow the 'old' map retained some information about where the 'old' linked map was. So, I created a couple of new maps, with a node with a link to another map, but still get the same error message. The thing I did not mention in my previous message is that the maps are on a network share. I hope this isn't the problem! This is Windows XP SP2, and VUE is 2.0.108.
