I am using VUE 3.1.2, March 8, 2012

I can print out part of a map, the visible part, which is very nice. In exactly the same way, I would like to be able to print out any selected part of the map, not just what is visible.

More generally, I would like to be able to do this not only for printing, but for saving any specified portion of the map (whether by selecting, or by what is visible) to a file in any format (e.g. png, jpg or pdf).

Is there any way to do this? The only way I can think of to do that now is to use a screen capture tool.

Summarizing, I want the following commands in addition to print visible (which is a way cool command).
1. print selected
2. save as selected
3. save as visible

Thanks,
Michael
