I would like to use this excellent Vue to make visual maps and storyboards. I have Vue installed on Xp with 2GB RAM. Working with JPEG images (height 2448) I get no thumbnail but "Missing Image" amd "Error: Java heap space". How can I fix this error? Thank you.
We are currently using Java's default max heap size when running VUE, we plan to raise the max heap size in a release very soon. However, if you want to adjust your own heap size, navigate to your VUE installation folder, (by default C:Program Filesvue) and open the file vue.lax in your favorite text editor (notepad for example) add the following line at the end of the file:
That will set your max heap to 1GB. If you're currently running VUE you'll have to restart it.
Hope this helps, let me know if you need any additional information.
