Am I missing something obvious?

How do I publish a map created with VUE for others to see? Does it convert to HTML or must others have VUE installed to view my map?

Cheers

We don't have an HTML conversion yet, except for being able to save
a map as an image which you could then embed in an HTML page,
so you'll have to get by with that for now. We could export an html
page that embeds the image pretty easily, but beyond that it's a good
chunk of work. I'd love to get to it but it's not on the front burner
at the moment. I expect this is going to be an important feature tho,
so keep asking for it!

tnx,

This is a related question: when I upload a VUE map to "My Maps," I see the map file listed, but the link to that map just yields a "page not found" error. Are the "My Maps" facilities currently just upload and download copies of map files, or should something else happen when I click on the map file link?

Thanks,
Gina

Hi Gina,

The download bug has been fixed. When you click on your map in the My Maps page it should be launched into your copy of the VUE software.

Also, you'll notice that once you've uploaded a map you can attach that map to any forum postings on this site if you want to share or obtain feedback.

Hope this helps.

As I just posted in another thread, an XSLT export option would open things up for the community to add a range of HTML export options.
