I'm trying to build all of VUE from source. The eventual goal is a Debian package.

So I'm linking it to the current versions of xerces and xalan and log4j in Debian. And I'm trying to package OSID as well.

But the OSID .jar that I built from source at http://sourceforge.net/projects/okiproject (linked from okiproject.org) doesn't work. To start, it's missing the osid.OsidOwner class, and the osid.OsidManager class is incompatible, for starters.

So where did the source for VUE's included .jar file come from?

One of our developers volunteered to get in touch with the OCID people about your question. We will let you know.

Hi Adam,

Are you using both
okiOSID-2.0a.zip
-AND-
OkiOSIDs_rc6_1.tar.gz?

osid.OsidManger and osid.OsidOwner are both from the okiSID_rc6_1.jar. Not sure what you're referring to what the incompatibility, I'm thinking you may be looking at org.osid.OsidManager vs osid.OsidManager. However, try including the okiSID_rc6_1 release form sourceforget and I think you'll have better luck.

Thanks,
Mike

Adam, did you get Vue into Debian? I'd love to see Vue in Fedora (that other Fedora), and having your work as a starting point would be helpful.
