Hi,

first of all, you did a great job with Vue. I am looking for the functionality to insert images, which are not displayed as icons.

Obviously it is possible. In the downlodable example "BostonTMapVPK.vpk" a full scale image is used in the background. In the vue file this is codes as xsi:type="image". I can edit the file directly to add my own images. Okay; but this takes time and is far from elegant.

My question: How to do it to insert these kind of image via menu?

Tnax to all your work, Slangbein

There is a way to do this in the GUI. Mike will post the steps here...

The easiest way to do this that I've found is to:

1) Create a node on the map with the image you want to be the background using your favorite method for creating nodes.

2) Select the direct selection tool. (Shortcut key 'v' or the White Arrow tool in the first toolbar drop-down.)

3) Drag the image out of the node you created on to the map, and resize it how you see fit.

4) Delete the original node.

Now you have an image on your map without any node wrappers.
