stefan/victor,

I haven't been able to replicate the not being able to add notes to map. What browser/os combo are you using?

Thanks,

Mike

I have Windows 7, Firefox 3.6.3 and Zotero 2.0.3. The notes are supposed to appear in context menu--> node info--> node notes, am I right ? On my map, the node notes remain empty when I click "Add notes to map".
Could it be because there are several notes per item, and also standalone notes in my collection ? When I "send to VUE and add to map", the standalone notes from zotero create one node each, but with ${title} as node title, and no other text (except for some keywords). This is clearly not useful, but is it a bug or a lacking feature ?

You are correct. The multinote case is now failing, I will investigate. Standalone notes we never supported correctly, I've added an item to our tracking system for both of these. Thank you for the follow up.

Are there plans to update the Vue plugin for Zotero so that it works with Firefox 3.6?

Browsing through the messages, I see that this has been discussed for a while.

Thanks,

Will you be adding support for Zotero 2.1 beta?

I have Windows 7 64bit, Firefox 3.6.12, and Zotero 2.1b2. The Vue 3.02 plugin will launch normally, yet I can not add any items from Zotero 2.1b2 to Vue. When in context menu and selecting "Send to Vue" or "Send to Vue and Add to Map" nothing happens.

Will you be updating Vue so that it works with Zotero 2.1 and Firefox 3.6?

I notice that questions about Vue's interoperability with Zotero have not been answered by Vue admins for several months.

Are efforts underway to remedy this situation, or are they not?

I would like to use the two together again. I hope that a reply will be forthcoming soon.

Thanks.

The chorus of people who loved the Vue plugin for Zotero and are rooting for its rebirth as a plugin for Firefox 4 is rising:

Zotero and Vue were a GREAT combination!

Please update... :)

Hi Mike,

this plugin is a great tool for zotero and I have some ideas how to extend its scope of usability... but at first I'd like
to make it working correctly with my installed combination zotero 2.1.6 in firefox 3.6.16.

I've already downloaded and installed the plugin. It shows up in the zotero menu and it opens up in firefox as a tab. But when I try to send a collection to VUE nothing happens. No window opens for further selections and the same refers to all the other right-click options. Does somebody have a clue why this is the case for my set of installations or for whatever reason? My Firefox standard language is set to Un-Es and it may be good to say that I'm using Windows 7 starter...

I expect a more general bug of the VUE plugin to be related to the fact that closing the Zotero/Vue Tab is not recognized by Zotero. Thus the option on the action wheel (in Zotero) remains "Bring VUE to front", though this is not possible anymore.....

Cheers

Niklas

I'm experiencing the same problem as Niklas: Zotero launches Vue, but it doesn't communicate with Vue and Vue doesn't communicate with Zotero. Also there are no messages printed in the Java console indicating communication was attempted.
