Hi there,

I've only just started exploring the use of VUE for the presentation of OWL ontologies - it looks like a great tool.

However it would be good if, when loading OWL ontologies using the default CSS, there was a default 'link' just as there is a default 'node'. Currently the ontology properties (links) are displayed as nodes in VUE. I looked at the elements.css where there are links defined but it is not obvious how to customise this to provide default links. Must I create a specific CSS entry for every property in the ontology or is it possible to define a default?

All the Best :)

Hi John,

You have to create a style element in CSS of every element in the ontology. I agree the value of being able to specify make all the properties links. We had the feature but had to drop it due to certain inconsitencies. I have reopened an old bug we had in queue and will look into some additional cases

Hi Anoop,

Thanks for the response. It would be nice to have default links but it is not that vital, it just means a little repetitive text editing for each ontology. Given the value that VUE adds to an ontology this is well worth it - it looks like a brilliant tool. Being able to create pathways and slide shows on top of ontologies is fantastic!!!

BIG thanks to the whole VUE team :)

Just one small issue that I noticed. A lot of the ontologies that I use contain many nested ontologies but when I tried to use to nest the style sheets the imports didn't appear in VUE so I had to explicitly copy the sub-CSS definitions into all subsequent CSS files. It would be great if VUE recognised the imports, then a link would only need to be defined in one place and not spread throughout multiple style sheets.

All the best,
John
