VUE 3 Preview Release 4 is now available for download in the Experimental Corner in the Download section of the VUE web site:

Is the link for the Preview Release Download correct?

It says Preview Release 4 but points to 2.3(139) and the applicaton doesn't seem to have new features

VUE 3 Preview Release 4 is versioned as 2.3build139. So it is the same thing. Don't ask why this is so, just take my word for it ;)

Silly me.

And the new features seem to work :-)

Except I can't figure out how to use the applet/browser.

And is there a recipe for collaborating on documents?

The VUE applet demo is in the download section of the web site in the experimental corner:

I am not sure what you mean by collaboration with VUE. You can always share your maps with your colleagues provided that they have VUE installed.
