I am using the VUE map for an educational component to our exhibitions at our museum. Does anyone have experience with using the map for public use in a way where the map is not able to be manipulated? Do I need to publish this on Fedora or Sakai? Or is there a way to upload to our University website where all of the links will still be accessible?
As part of VUE 3, we've greatly improved the HTML export feature of VUE, it now behaves sanely on maps containing many links and preserves your links in an image map you can upload to your website, it also will display node notes as well. The working version of this feature will be in the April preview release of VUE 3. If you want to try it out beforehand, just send me your map and I can generate an html export for you. In the April release you will also be able to generate a PDF of the map much like the current PDF export, but VUE will preserve links so that they are still clickable.
