Windows computer:

The steps to follow are:

1. in the folder which contains VUE.jar, create a new folder called "tufts". In the tufts folder create a new folder called "vue"
2. place your modified VueResources_xx_XX.properties file in the new tufts/vue folder.
3. from the folder that contains both VUE.jar and the new tufts folder, issue the command "jar uf VUE.jar tufts/vue/VueResources_fr_FR.properties" (example here is for French file)

This command tells the jar utility to put the properties file into the VUE.jar archive. The jar utility is part of the Java SDK (software development kit). If you don't already have that installed on your machine you can download it from the sun website, or I can get it and email it to you if you prefer.

The easy way:

Post your translation file to your language thread (ex: French, Spanish, Bulgarian...)
Write a note along with it to say that you would like us to check it in for you. (We are watching the forum, so we will get notified).
We will do the file conversion, and check it in.
20 minutes later, we get a new build, and we will send you the link.

Note: We will do our best to check in your file as fast as possible, but it could take up to a day.

We recommend following Melanie's second post, ie., sending us your file and having us check it into our code.

The first post requires a more lengthy explanation, if you are attempting to install your file on your own computer, and is meant for those who are java developers. We apologize for the inconvenience, and appreciate all of your efforts!
