Just adding my plea to the others for Firefox 4 plugin for Zotero.
I guess this is going to be an ongoing problem . Firefox 5 is already at beta 3 stage

Yep, potentially Vue is a good tool -- I'm just checking it out for the first time today, lead to it by some simpler add ons for Ff 5 -- but that's about as far as I can go -- who knows if it's still being supported anymore if it's so far behind the times -- Ff 6 is "out" now, and some add ons support it already -- shame to cripple a potentially good program.

I'm on FF 5.0 now, and the zotero developers are asking you to work with them here http://groups.google.com/group/zotero-dev/

According to them it doesn't take much, and AFAIK updating an addon to work with FF 5.0 is even easier as there isn't any substantial change in the software from FF 4.0.

The silence on your part is especially galling. Even though you are part of an academic institution, it is still expected that you share the news, problems, possible resolution timeframe with the community of users.

Barely 5 minutes ago I was praising VUE to the skies, and now I discover it isn't even working for me!

Rich,

I've made some progress recently on upgrading the VUE Plugin to work in FF5, having previously lost compatibility after FF3. It's not working correctly with the current zotero yet but I hope to make some progress on that soon.

The current version of VUE Plugin for Zotero does not support FF6. Is an update planned?

I think it would be more robust if the new update of VUE plugin for Zotero can catch up the rapidy progressing updates of FireFox. It is just like Firefox update is held within airplane and VUE plugin update for Zotero is on 4 wheel bike !

Hello everyone,

I'm very interested in this ad on> The amount of data we are obliged to deal with can not be managed without visual modeling. Your tool is great, but we still need a reference manager to cite the font on the papers we publish.

Thanks for your work and i'll continue to follow this post.

Yeah, Is there a Zotero Vue plugin for recent versions of Firefox ( they're now at 8 ) coming? I tried messing a bit with the install.rdf, which got it installed.

Apparently all menu items are in place (but only when zotero isn't in tab mode).

However, I'm getting this error in the console when trying to start Vue:

Error: Components.classes['@mozilla.org/extensions/manager;1'] is undefined
Source file: chrome://vueexport/content/vueexport.js
Line: 480

Kind regards,

Jan-Pieter

Where can I find the plugin download link?? I tried http://vue.tufts.edu/download/ but couldn't find it in the page.

I'm using FF 9.0.1, Zotero 3.0b3 on OSX 10.7.2.

Oh, I see. I'm adding the plea to update it. Thanks!

+1 for Zotero+VUE integration.

Meanwhile, I have a question: what was the last working combination of Firefox+Zotero+VUE?

I think it can be used as a demo. Personally I'd like to play with it a bit.
