Hi,

I am trying to build a small web server for a bibliography database (bibdesk) that would allow me to use VUE to relate papers between themselves and to keep in sync with my main bibliography database.

For the moment, I am stuck because VUE does not seem to keep track of my records:
- I add one or more records and (in the content->dataset window) it correctly shows the number of records not present in the map
- When I reload the dataset, VUE does not know anymore which records are in the map

I tried to use the "key" field in the dataset properties and set it to "guid" which is the standard tag for RSS item identifier, but without success.

Am I missing something?

Thanks
Benjamin

Vue3.0beta4b2. Running Standalone jar file on windows XP.

Another Issue with datasets is the persistense of dataset configuration.

When using a csv data source, It shows an inclination for numeric variables when adding "All Records" to the map although the key field and the image/content are both character. Changing the configuration does not seem to work.

The issue with reloading the dataset, I was able to replicate the issue by Benjamin above.

Also, i would like to add that [Q4] values get appended to the name fields when the data is reloaded each time. In addition to creating summary statistics [Q4] for numeric fields multiple times--{with each reload}.

Hi,

Just downloaded Vue 3.0, and it got better - one step more and it will be great!

More precisely, Vue now correctly reload a dataset keeping track of objects already in the map. However, when I save the file and re-open it latter, then Vue does not recognize that the objects in the map comes from the dataset.
