I only recently discovered VUE so am no expert, but I've read the User Guide. No mention of being able to link from a node on one map to a node on another, or even to link two maps together without merging them. Is there a way to do this that I've overlooked, or if not, is anything similar planned and how far away?

I did a forum search but the only thread I turned up is this one: https://vue-forums.uit.tufts.edu/posts/list/204.page#539, specifically item 4. That was posted back in June 2008. Has anything happened since then?

I'm posting it here rather than in the Wish List; maybe I'm kinda hoping that wish has been granted...

Max,

You can set the resource on a node to point to another map, but you can't link to a specific node on the other map. It would work like this:

Thanks, that was very helpful. Even though it would be nice to link node-to-node, for most purposes this will do just fine.
Even though the User Guide doesn't mention this specifically, it's in this section - 02 Linking to Files on Your Computer.

Hopefully one day we will see node-to-node as well as node-to-map. :)
