Is there a mechanism in VUE where it can talk to other applications, i am looking for the VUE api but I don't know where to start as I couldn't find any documentation for it?
I would like to hook on to events generated in VUE and possibly generate suitable actions in the other app that is attached to VUE is this possible?

There is not a document API but VUE is open source, and so you could certainly expose what you need, and consume events, etc in another app.

Kevin,

I could generate a set of javadocs for VUE and post them to the website if you think that'd be helpful. Parts of VUE are well commented, unfortunately none of those parts use javadocs comments so the generated docs are somewhat weak. If you had questions from there or some specific area you were looking to work on we could talk further.

Mike, many thanks for your offer.
Possibly something is better than nothing, and maybe that javadoc could be a starting point for developers and enthusiasts who want to explore VUE, rather than dig thru the source files.
Thanks again.

Kevin,

Here's a generated javadoc for VUE, the main class where VUE starts is tufts.vue.VUE

http://vue.tufts.edu/api/index.html

The non-javadoc comments have some real value so if you find a area of interest you may want to browse the source as well.
