My apologies if this message is incoherent--I've not slept in 36 hours. (;
First of all, I must say that I love VUE--it's the most reasonable mapping software I've used so far. I will continue to use it for as long as I am able to. Keep up the good work!
I want to ask a question. I've noticed that there are inconsistencies between the UI behavior of VUE (both 1.5 and 2) and other Mac OS X applications. For example: (1) toolbar buttons have their own background, in the generic java style; (2) toolbars themselves are not customizable like other applications are; and (3) various other views like "Map Info" are not contained within a traditional "inspector." I know such features are considered more "polish" than anything, but I do think they would contribute a great deal to VUE's usability--especially adding an "inspector" to manage and organize all of the features available. Are there any plans to add such polish to 2.0?
Thanks for your feedback! Regarding the 3 points you brought up:
(1) Toolbar buttons: at this time, we are planning to keep the generic java style for button background (2) Customizable toolbar: great idea - not sure if we will have time to do it for VUE 2.0 (3) The redesigned of the map info will be done in September.
