A major evolution for VUE would be to include time fields as an optional factor within all links and nodes. These fields would simply reflect a start and end time for that link or node that would enable a timeline slider tool to be used to display only those network elements active according to the time chosen on the timeline. Such a feature would enable users to see how a network evolves over time and enable them to map that network of nodes and links that change over time.

An additional option to ghost or grey out nodes that existed before the selected time slot would really be of help.

A piece of software I have seen that addresses this time issue is Sentinel Visualizer 4.6: http://www.fmsasg.com/Products/SentinelVisualizer/analysis.asp

Hello,

I use VUE only for few months and really enjoy it.

I think too a "simple" timeline tool would be great. In the actual case for which I use VUE, development of approach on my master thesis and specially the methodology I will use, a internal timeline tool in VUE would help me a lot.
Actually, I use gantt-project for it.

Thanks
