I wish to be able to address (use) a local file (PDF, or .DOC) as a resource for content analysis (semantic analysis, search . . . ) similar to initial map creation . . similar to the WEB site content auto generation.

Issue is, while I can click on the node containing the PDF document I wish to work on, and have it brought up, I cannot seem to have that node which contains the PDF document function as a container(source) for any additional types analysis . . . .

I cannot:
(1) search selected 'local' resources . . . with either Alchemy or OpenCalais

(2) use that particular node ( containing the PDF document ) as the source for Semantic Analysis of content ..

In short, I need to ( and cannot ) be able to configure my map such that my many local files become the target (sources .. one at a time) for additional and further analysis for other VUE services and processes.
90% of my analysis and map creation will be from local files and documents on my computer .. so being able to creatively use these local files is critical. I also cannot get the functionality of "My Saved Content" to work properly . . . would this solve my problems ? just what and how and where are files 'dragged and dropped' . . . and to where ??
